I don't know why this is it is the worst possable side effect. It permiates my very being. I am SO cold. I think I've totally messed up my hypothylamus with all these drugs.
I can feel this activity in my lower brainstem, when I drink coffee it worms me up and it quells that activity. (it feels like a giant fist around my lower brainstem)
I've been sleeping all day, and twiching and jerking. It's hell.
Bipolar disorder is just another name for, "we've messed you up with a whole load of other drugs, and this is the best we've got top shut you up"

I do agree with you, but i prefer to say that Bipolar disorder is "one fit for all diagnosis or i'm not sure what you have, so i think you're bipolar."

I think they've just had it with me.
Go in and say I'm suicidal. They give me an AD. It works for a while and I come back and say I'm still suicidal. On and on it goes more meds, more types. I feel out of control, I feel insane, antipsychotics, anticonvulsants whatever...
To a regular docotor, one AD is the same as the next AD.

Linkadge, I haven't written to you a great deal, but I have been reading some of your posts.
You seem very anxious ABOUT feeling suicidal. That doesn't make you bipolar to me...Okay, so I'm not a doc, but if you want to get them started in a new direction, tell them you think you've got Borderline Personality Disorder (BSD). It's not that I am dx'ing you, here, it's just that they seem to have you pegged with a label, and the treatments for that label aren't helping you. One of the common "symptoms" of BSD is that the person is extraordinarily difficult to treat. If you make that suggestion, by the time they weed through all of what you're NOT within that label, the doc may be a little closer to what will actually treat your symptoms instead of your label.
Just a thought- a little intellectual square dancing with doc can only help...If nothing else, it will make you feel better to watch THEM squirm for a bit...

I fully agree, but when you wait years for a 15 minaute apointment here in Canada, it really doesn't matter who you are or what yor diagnosis is.
