no way to tell, LPranger! Depends on what else you're taking, your own individual biochemistry, what you've ever tried before, etc. I can personally tell you that Prozac worked great for me until it pooped out. Effexor, despite it's reputation for weight loss, made me immediately gain weight.
Effexor has serious withdrawal when stopped suddenly, whereas Prozac tapers itself since it's metabolized much more slowly.
And, with deference to Glydin (grin), you pretty much have to rely on your doctor to tell you the answer.

I've only taken Effexor for 3 years (a year and a half of that trying to wean off)--I've not heard of anyone having problems getting off of Prozac.
If I could do it all over again--I would have taken nothing!!!
