Lately i have been having unfamiliar mental disturbances, i've been having intensified disturbing thoughts that i feel im am becoming very mentally unstable.
I currently am taking Wellbutrin 450mg, and want to ask if it has had any claims of ever causing mental disturbances, or psychosis.
My usual train of thought seems out of order, my thoughts at times seem unfamiliar, and i panic because i do not know what is happening. I dont know how to describe it, just a vague feeling of unstableness that i have never felt before.
Is there any information about wellbutrin and psychosis.

I have mild schizophrenia, and my psychoses present themselves as disorganized thought and confusion. I also have paranoia but thats another story. All of these things cleared up when I began taking Geodon. I never thought of myself as psychotic, because the picture I always had of someone psychotic was a raving screaming madman. However, after some study into the matter and analysis of myself now that I'm better I see that I was indeed in a psychotic state. My doc told me that Wellbutrin can in fact make psychosis worse and it did with me. It definately increased paranoia, anxiety, and confusion that I spoke of. My dopamine system is more than likely way off kilt. I would have a close talk next time you see your doctor.

DEFINITELY get in contact with your doctor!! You need to sort out what is going on as fast as possible; from what I hear Wellbutrin can have very negative effects and may be the source of a problem, or exascerbating something underneath. Obviously something is going wrong, dont suffer and get to a doctor.

I think what you are experiencing are panic attacks. Wellbutrin is *not* an antipanic agents, and in many people can exasperate panic and anxiety.
This is probably not psychosis, but fear of loosing controll and a vague sence of uneasiness and fear are all smptoms of GAD/panic, which the wellbutrin can exasparate.

Hey there,
I'd say go see your doctor first. But it I also say don't panic, it sounds to me like you are experiencing anxiety. I have MD with psychotic features, and I've also had some problems with anxiety.Take care,
dm

Scott Peterson had the same symptoms before he done in Laci.
You may want to write to Scott at his Redwood City jail cell.
