Help! I'm craving food again...

Posted by Wildflower on November 17, 2004, at 11:43:06

I was doing well as far as my weight and binging was concerned on wellbutrin, lamictal, seroquel and lexapro. I've recently increased lamictal to 50 mg and substituted cymbalta for lexapro and cannot seem to satify my hunger. Is there anything I can do? Has anyone else experienced this or do you know which med is responsible? I don't want to re-gain the lbs. that I lost.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

Seroquel in particular might be expected to increase appetite. What do you take the Seroquel for? Perhaps you could take something else instead.

Ed.

I take 50-75 mgs of seroquel at night to help with sleep. I've been taking it for at least 6 weeks without this effect.

you should notice a change in your appetite with cymbalta. Cymbalta seems to cause some weight loss initially and then becomes weight neutral. Not sure how or if your other meds will impact this.
