Hi, I have OCD, major depression, and Gad. I am taking 60mg of Lexapro (divided into 3 daily doses of 2omg), 4mg of Klonopin (2mg twice a day), 1,800mg of Trileptal (600mg three times a day), and 30mg of Remeron at night.
I have never been on this much medication in my life. My doctors assure me it is safe. And I do feel better for the first time in five years.
I always tried to stay healthy don't drink, smoke, etc. I eat right and exercise.
Is this amount of medication ok. Or is it considered alot?
Does anyone else take this much medication?
Just looking for some input and advice.
Thanks,
BRC

It's actually very common to be on a combination of drugs. Each of them has a specific purpose that contributes to your overall well-being. I'm also on 4 different medications and we're looking to add a fifth.
If you feel depressed looking at the bottles, buy one of those pill organizers and then you can open up a tab (Thursday for example) and take them all at once without dreading opening 4 bottles each day. It helps me feel less like an AD druggie. ;-)

Hi, thanks for the info. and the response. If you don't mind me asking what meds to you take and do they help.
I am looking for something that will help unwanted, uncontrollable thoughts.
Thanks,
BRC

I was on 20mg Prozac...400mg Wellbutrin(bid)....Neurontin(don't remember dose) and 75mg Topamax for 3 years. This combo targeted BP mood swings,depression,bingeing/weight gain, and to decrease craving for drugs/alcohol (kinda ironic cuz it does make you feel like a drug addict taking sooo many pills!)I have to say it truly helped! However after 3 years the pills got to me and I started to feel dull and dead inside so I took the neurontin/topamax out. 2 years later I am ready to add topamax again!
This is the end of the thread.
