Has anyone here gained weight while on Klonopin (without change to diet/exercise)?
I have only been on it a few days but was just curious as I am recovered Anoretic/bulimic.
Thanks!
Best,
L.

I have taken Klonopin for about five years for RLS, about .75mg per night. I don't think I have gained any weight from it, the five pounds I gain and lose have to be connected to the Hershey Bars with almonds.<G> Noooooooo. Anyway, it didn't effect me other than make me very relaxed and anxiety free. Good luck. -L

Hi Laree:
I've been on Klon. for about 16 months, on doses ranging from 1.5mg per day down to my current .5mg. Not a single issue with weight gain. No appetite effect and no metabolism effect. It's a very "clean" drug as far as S/E's go.
Good luck with it!

Hi,
I took Klonopin and lots of other psychotropic medications and I think IMHO that all benzodiazepines, includind Klon are the only psychiatric medications that are totally weight neutral...so do not worry.

Hi stresser,
Did you ever have concentration problems or worse results in examinations during the time you have taken Klonopin?
Does it affect memory?
Thanks for answer
