All this jerking and twiching a sign of brain damm

I am convinced that all of this muscle jerking and twiching I have experienced as a result of AD medication must be a sign of brain dammage/ neurodegeneration.

Happens to me occasionally.. and there is a correlation between movement disorders and SSRI'S most likely because of it's effect on the brain..

I don't know if I'd call it brain damage in the cell death sense. If it's TD, it's just due to oversensitive dopamine receptors.

I am on zoloft and I get the muscle spasms and twitches. They've been happening a lot more since I've been lowering my dose. My doctor says it's part of the withdrawal.

Linkage,

I was on klonopin for a few years and I weaned off of it. Now, I have tremors really bad. Also, I have twitches and jerking too. No, I don't think I am brain damaged. I don't know what's going on, but something is really off. I am having mri's and blood work to see what's going on. I have very odd tremors.

I get mild and sometimes more intense myoclonic jerks whenever I lower my Nardil dose. They seem to go away in a week or so, but they are, er, interesting if not downright annoying when they are frequent.

While I was on 150mg of Effexor XR, I began experiencing those same jerking and twitching in my fingers, hands, wrists, and elbows. It scared the hell out of me and that was the final straw that made me decide to stop taking the Effexor. These symptoms have stopped.
