My pdoc rx'ed me Gabitril (2 mg./day + 2mg./bedtime) when I told him I have been suffering from severe panic attacks.
I am already on 2 other 'maintenance' meds daily (one for seasonal depression & one for ADHD)and do not wish to be on another, particularly if it can cause weight gain.
I think he thinks I am just having a lot of anxiety; he said that this med is used for anxiety and can be of benefit long-term.
What I want to know is, has anyone here been given this for anxiety with severe PANIC ATTACKS?? & if so, did it actually work??
Please let me in on your experience(s) with this drug...side effects--weight gain/loss, fatigue, anything.
