I'm going back up on my Zonegran to 200mg after being on just 100mg for a few weeks and when I was on the 200mg dose before I took it all at night but can you take it both in the AM and PM? What kind of effect would come from taking 100mg in the morning and 100mg at night?
Thanks for your help... :-)

I'm on Zonegran...i take 200 mg nightly, 100 mg in the a.m. If i have a week of 3 or 4 migraines, i will increase my morning dose to 200 mg (my max dose right now is 400 mg if needed), but I generally don't like taking 200 in the a.m., because I feel less ability to think clearly.
I'm starting to do stupid stuff like put milk in the oven rather than the fridge, so I may decrease nightly dose to 100 mg and see if my migraines will stay at bay at that lower dose. (side effect is brain fog at higher doses)...fyi: I take it for migraine prevention.

Do you feel tired during the day ?
If so do you think the day time dose makes it worse and would it be better to take it all at night if you could.
I take Zongran for my bipolar
Thanks for your response to these post.

I was tired at first, but not anymore. Seems like i had to take a small dose in the a.m. in order to keep my migraines at bay, otherwise waiting 24 hrs between doses was too long to wait.
