Hi, I take 60mg of Lexapro(20mg three times a day). I also take Remeron 30mg at night and 2mg of Klonopin twice a day.
My mind and thoughts race comepletely out of control. Could the Lexapro be causing this. I am not Bi-Polar.
Need Advice. THANKS

Looks like it can do just that!
I assume you know that the maximum daily recommended dose of Lexapro is 20mg ?!!
Why are you takin such a high dose ?!
They would have allowed higher doses than 20mg if they appeared to have further effectiviness, but that was not the case in clinical trials.

My pdoc said that you had to take higher doses for OCD (which I have). I started on 10, then 20, then he raised it to 40, now 60mg.

>The Remeron could be the culprit-it has a norepinephrine boosting effect. I got fairly jittery when I was on it at times. Also very irritable (but I'm bipolar). Do you think the Remeron is making your OCD worse?

I find the Remeron quite sedating and use it at night as a sleep aid. But I found that have very wild, vivid dreams while taking the Remeron?
And also the usual side effect it makes you very hungary. So, I blame it for the few extra pounds I have put on. But diet and exercise makes it stable.
