What is this a symptom of, mania, psychosis?

It could be a variety of things. Probably depends on the circumstances. Have you seen a doctor? i have the same thing. Used to come from panic disorder, was actually part of the attacks. But now i've been diagnosed BPII, and racing thoughts can most definitly be a part of the hypomanias. You'd have to speak w/ the doc about meds. But it could be anything from SSRIS to mood stablizers to benzos, depending on the diagnosis

Mania usually is a euphoric "high" feeling like you can do or accomplish anything. You talk more than usual, are more compulsive, take unusual risks, etc.
Psychosis is usually when you have hallucinations, out of touch with reality, hear or see things that are not really there.
Are you seeing a doctor or on any meds?
