There is discussion how long it lasts for the full effect of Klonopin for anxiety (performance anxiety, social phobia etc.). Some say it lasts immediately other say the full effect is noticeable only after one, two or three weeks.
Whats your experience?

If someone is reporting it takes 2-3 weeks to kick in, I'd like to meet this person.
For me, it's 35 minutes, on the dot. I notice a pleasant feeling enveloping my entire being, look down at my watch, and see it's precisely 35 minutes since I ingested it.

I use it only as-needed for performance anxiety, primarily. Effect starts at ~1.5 hours following oral dose. Works great...only side-effect is sedation and some tiredness.

This is a question i wanted to know the answer to also.
I was always under the impression that Benzos do their job from the very first pill and don't get any better than that.
I have also come across a hand full of people though who claim that the actual SOCIAL part of their anxiety took a few weeks to subside.
Maybe this is simply getting used to not having the anxiety.
What the benzos do really well is to calm down a persons immediate feelings, what it can't do is make the person forget how they have functioned previously.
The apprehension within a social situation and the fear of it both beforehand and during will still be there even with the benzo, but it is as the person realises subconsciously that it no longer debilitates them, that the full ease in social situations will kick in.

The package insert, of course, treats them like they're tablets time wise, but the reality is they immediately disolve under your tongue in less than a second and that means directly into your blood stream.
This is the end of the thread.
