Imipramine, K, and ~Li - improvement continued

Posted by Squiggles on October 10, 2004, at 15:05:58

Hi,

By K i refer to clonazepam;

My friend continues to improve. We are
very greatful to the doctor for immediately
recognizing lithium poisoning. IMHO, my
friend should have reported the symptoms before
losing 60 lbs and looking like a hound. But....
she thinks i'm a smart ass (which i am :-))

Serzone seems to be out of the scene now, but
I don't know for sure if that started the
weight loss. Her dr. thinks it was depression,
and i recall that was concurrent with K
initiation. Perhaps what she needs is a lower
K dose and/or a higher Imipramine dose.

In the 23 or so yrs. taking a variety of
drugs (about 20), Imipramine remains the only
one that seems to work for her. Unfortunately,
it is not the softest drug in side effects.

Get back to you later - we welcome suggestions.
And btw, do take it upon yourselves to report
adverse reactions.

Doctors are not mind-readers.
