OK. My husband's pdoc has prescribed Cialis for him and suggested it might be helpful for me too (we are both on SSRI's.) My pdoc says she doesn't think so.
Anybody had any experience positive or negative?

It works great!
Here's the deal-IF-you are mentally and emotionally in gear for sex it will kick you physical dersire into high gear. Vrooom Vrrooom! Blood flow increases, probably everywhere, but certainly to the ah...petals and stamens or whatever polite term you like the most! If you ain't studying it the drug will not change that-you won't notice much at all.Unfortunately, if will not make you wild for him if your not wild for him mostly already and it won't put thoughts in your head that weren't there before. I think the same principle applies for men. Just cause the sails go up doesn't mean you have hoist the anchor, right?
...And that's all I have to say 'bout that.
FGTake care,
Kaye

Kaye,
Thanx so much. You answered questions I hadn't even thought to ask yet. And I love your analogies.
Good point about being emotionally in the right place, always a consideration for those of us "sensitive" sorts. And about being wild for him. We've been married for 16 yrs so time and SSRI's have taken there toll but I think blood flow would definitely help us get down. And the Cialis sounds like it might be an exciting adventure, kind of like a vacation right at home.
I'll let you know.

I think the same principle applies for men. Just cause the sails go up doesn't mean you have hoist the anchor, right?Have never had the need for, and consequently, have no personal experience with this class of drugs ("not that there's anything wrong with it" ;), but yes, drugs like Viagra and Cialis basically do the same thing in women that they do men. They locally increase the level of nitric oxide, thereby increasing blood flow to the penis in men and its female counterpart in women, the clitoris.
