Lamictal 25 mg and hard digestion

Posted by jjman on September 9, 2004, at 23:47:19

I currently take lamictal 25 mg at bedtime since 3 days. Since then i usually wake up 3 or 4 hours afer i fall asleep. I wake up with a stange discomfort in my stomach or abdomen. It's like when you eated something and you wake up because of hard digestion.Yhere also something like a "warness" in this area.
I had somes livers problems recently. Could it be lamictal that cause those problems ?

Hi,
I've been taking Lamictal for several years and sometimes at night it doesn't go down smoothly for me either. It feels like it got stuck on the way down and burns. I've never had that problem with other medication. I've been taking Dilatin for over twenty years.
Anyway, when it does give me trouble I go for the Alka Selzer. That always fixes me up quickly. Maybe it's worth a try for you.

John

What dose of Lamictal are you taking?

I take 250 mgs twice a day for seizures. For some reason it's only the bedtime dose that ever bothers my stomach.
