Does anyone know any meds (or supplements) that can be used to decrease side effects of clomipramine (Anafranil) or other TCA's ?
Side-effects which I suffer from the most:
* agitation, aggressiveness, intense & exaggerated emotions
* sleep disturbances, sleepiness, drowsiness, fatigue
* sweating
* irregular or fast, pounding heartbeat, palpitations
* disturbed concentration, impaired memory

I'm taking Clomipramine currently, I'm afraid I can't offer any advice, but I do suffer from some of the same problems.
In particular the sweating is terrible, especialy so since I work in a hot environment!What dose are you on?

>You may just want to consider trying a different med or lowering the dosage of the Anafranil. I don't really see any reasonable means of counteracting these side effects, other than possibly taking something to aid sleep.

You seem to have all the side effects that are possible, I'd guess your doseage is too high. I'd try & get a blood test to see how much is in your blood. What is your diagnosis & how much are you taking?Cheers,
Paul.

I'm taking clomipramine for OCD and for Panic. I am now on 225 mg. 150 mg is average, but it didn't work that well on 150 mg anymore...
