Hi Beth53:
I'm really sorry to hear about your present situation. It sounds like you feel truly miserable.
For your stomach, I just wanted to suggest the daily use of ginger capsules. These have helped me in the past when my stomach has been upset. You would need to take them continuously - 2 or 3 capsules spread throughout the day. Another product that has worked well for me is cimitidine. You have to be careful with cimitidine however as it is contraindicated with the use of some AD medications. (You could also try famitidine and ranitidine - I did not have as much success with these as cimitidine.) Though these are specifically for acid reflux, they do work very well for nausea. With these meds (ginger and the other 3 acid reflux medications) its best to be proactive and start them as soon as you wake up as opposed to using them to treat the nausea. My goal when taking them was to stop the problem before it started. As a last resort, you may want to ask your doc for a prescription for Phenergan (promethazine). I used to take this when my stomach bothered my a lot. The biggest problem with this med is that it can be sedating and make you feel a little "doppy".
Since you're dealing with severe tiredness, you may want to try something a bit more stimulating for your next AD. I've recently added Wellbutrin (just so happens that you shouldn't take with cimitidine) to my medications and it seems to have helped with my fatigue. Presently, I don't have any stomach problems from it --- I don't know about other folks. I've also heard on these boards that despirimine can be stimulating. I don't have any personal experience with this one.
Best of luck. There are some very knowledgable people here on this board (not me --- I'm just a rank amateur sharing my experience where I can).
I hope you have some improvement soon!

Hi there. I have a similar problem to yours but I've had it for a much shorter period of time. I've been feeling very ill since April. I get very weak and achy, lightheaded, I get headaches and a gagging feeling in my throat. Also some nausea in my stomach and a vibrating feeling behind my eyes that turns into nausea. I've felt like this for about 75% of the time since April. I have a few good days here and there but mostly I just feel horrible all of the time. My doctors thought it was a virus but it never went away so my neurologist told me that my symptoms are caused by low serotonin which also causes my anxiety and OCD. BUT I've been told by many people that low serotonin doesn't cause physical symptoms, just psychological. So this makes me think that it really is a physical problem I also have an inner ear problem that gives me vertigo and some GI problems. So my problems, I am told, could also be related to that. I just wish that I could get some definite answers, just like you. I wish they would tell me whether my PHYSICAL symptoms were being caused by something physical or mental. This ill feeling makes it so hard for me to work and to function. I imagine that you have difficulty as I do. I wish there was something I could say to help you but I have no answers either. I just wanted to let you know that I have a similar problem so maybe we can keep in touch. Feel free to email!!!!
