My husband has been taking Effexor for approximately 10 days and said that he has not had one erection for the past two days. Does this go away? Should he quit taking it? Is this normal?

>Has he tried to have one? Have you asked him for one? :) My libido dropped when I started Effexor, but I could get an erection when requested. Only problem was anorgasmia, inability to achieve an orgasm. Effexor was such a huge help to my mood that I stuck with it & added on another drug to solve the problem. Has he had his hormones checked? Low Thyroid & Testosterone are causes for depression in men & well worth looking at.

What other medication did the doctor prescribe for you? I'm gathering information to talk to the doctor about. Thanks

>Remeron, but it's extremely sedating when you first start it, there are other that are good to add. It depends on the side effects that bug him the most & what his original problem was.

DEAR LADY, I HAVE BEEN TAKING SERZONE FOR 7 YEARS, AND NEVER HAD A MORNING ERECTION 1 TIME, AND I AM ONLY 34 - I JUST STARTED TO REDUCE IT 20 MG OVER A MONTH AND GOT ERECTIONS AND ACTUALLY STARTED TO ENJOY SEX AGAIN. THESE PILLS ARE BAD FOR THE SEX DRIVE, BUT SUICIDE IS WORSE
