hi there - are you sure it is from the meds? I am not familiar with that medication, but i do suffer from vertigo and went to an ENT. They actually will give people xanax or ativan as that can help vertigo. It sounds like you have BBPV - which occurs when you are lying down or when your head is turned to a certain angle. They may be able to give you something else for that.

Good luck as I know how miserable it is!

Hello, I checked on this med, and indeed it can cause vertigo. I took a little ativan today and tha ti evening it out. This really bad vertigo corresponds to an increase in the trileptal, whihc is an anti convulsant medication/mood stabilizer. I also have a woozy feeling and a small rash that I've informed my PDOC about. I don't think the symptoms are serious, but still , have to be careful. Thank god its not Lamictal, or I woulda gone straight in for the rash.

By the way, my ENT said vertigo prone people can also induce attacks with hyperactivity and excitement. Oddly enough I had a vertigo attack today cause i got SO excited over something and i got all woozy and dizzy. So i just thought I would pass that along in case you ever notice what exactly brings them on!
