I am new to this Board, and so it is possible this has already been dealt with. I am taking Paxil CR in the lowest dose available, and have been taking it for about two years. Initially, I felt great on the medication, but the longer I take the medication the more I feel like I am in an emotional neutral. Kind of a zoned out feeling. Anyone else experienced this? It is almost like the meds work for a period of time with normal emotions and feelings, and then after awhile you feel just sort of blah. This happened for me with Prozac, as well.

Well I'm going back to the docotor today. Not positive that a TCA is the best thing for me. I sure know it will help my depression but I have a heart obsession too and it may make things worse.
Zoloft was probably the best of the SSRI's when I tried it, perhaps I'll give it another whirl.Linkadge

I mean that I am obsessed with the slightest perception of an irregularity my heart's function. TCA's might not help this.

When you mentioned "heart obsession," I knew EXACTLY what you meant. I used to lay down at night and just feel my heart beating and wonder if it would beat out of control and then stop! Zoloft has been a TREMENDOUS help to me. Not only do I not care about my heart beating anymore, but I no longer fear and dread situations at work, in rush hour traffic or in my personal relationships. What's more, I only sleep 5 hours a night now and my chronic pain seems to be gone. I feel free!
Zoloft is truly The Stepford drug.
