I take adderal in a as needed basis....basically something I use for lack of motivation..I take the 20 XR kind..when it wears off I become extremely irritable...apathetic...just want to sleep.(even though I can't even fall asleep in the first place..wwhich makes it even worse)..don't want to be bothered ( I snap at anyone who basically comes near me) This seems to last for several hours...I read on a site the crash only usually lasts about 15 minutes...is it because I take it inconssistently?? Is there anyway to help alleviate the symptoms I experience from crash?? I feel absolutely the direct opposite as I do when it is in my system..it is a HORRIBLE feeling...i just feel like jumping off a bridge or something I feel so much like crap...

I took Adderall for my ADHD and unfortunately had the same problems... it also aggravated my moods with my BP II... I don't know why Adderall has such an evil comedown.... perhaps trying something liek Ritaling would be better for you.

>Maybe...I heard adderal was much better then ritalin and other stimulants when it came to a crash..I guess were just in the minority...it is a shame because when adderall is in my system it works so great...but i feel absolutely horrible when the med wears off...the crash lasts so long it is just to intolerable...i'll probbly end up trying ritilan...

I crash like crazy from all of them, possibly least Concerta, one of the long-acting Ritalins. I will say that head-biting irritability is more or less specific to Adderall XR. Even immediate-release Adderall doesn't do that to me. Try another.

I've found that I have terrible akathisia from dopamine drops, Adderall immediate release combined with Seroquel was the worst, I felt like death.
