hi, i have been on Abilify for two days and have noticed an increase in paranoia and anxiety. Is this usual? I have bipolar with psychotic symptoms and am also taking Lamictal, Tegretol Retard (Carbamazepine)and Sulpiride, which i am gradually being weaned off as the Abilify is meant to replace it.
Would greatly appreciate any feedback on the drug.

hi,
I also noticed an increase in anxiety on the first 2 days at 7,5mg. But it vanished on the 3rd and never showed up anymore, even when I increased the dosage from 7,5 to 30mg.

thanks Roland, that makes me feel better...Did you suffer any other ill effects? Has the medication worked?

I took it ans an augmentor to treat depressive symptoms. Unfortunately it made me a bit dysphoric and dampened libido etc. and at 30mg it was like a mental straightjacket. But was for sure activating and stimulating. I only had a partial response. So I did quit it and now try something else... But many people on this board like this drug and find it very helpful.
