In your experience of taking Buspar do the following side effects either disappear or diminish after a period of say a month or so:
-headaches, dizziness and nausea which come on
within 30 minutes or so of taking the pill and
which last for up to an hour.
-increased and more vivid dream activity
Or do they remain for the duration you take Buspar. Also, if Buspar is going to work, does it generally take 4 to 6 weeks.
Thanks in advance

It seemed once I added Lexapro all that improved.

>Hi Enjay -
I have been taking Buspar for about 1 1/2 years. For me the side effects went away relatively quickly. I take 45 mg per day. If you're not doing so already, take your Buspar with a meal to help wiht the Nausea. I think Buspar is a great medication. You can get a good result without the sleepiness caused by some drugs.
If I remember correctly, I was able to obtain a result by the fourth week.
Good Luck! Charm

I've also had those side effects with buspar. I've been on about three weeks and the initial dizziness did go away about week three or so....
I'm still waiting for the 4 week point, when I hear you actually start feeling the relief of anxiety.
Good luck. Jen

Thank you all for your replies
Great to hear that the side effects do not appear to be a permanent fixture.
