Paxil to Lexapro help lose weight???

Weight Question!!!
My doctor just switched me from Paxil (40 mg) to Lexapro because of weight gain. He said that Lexapro does the same thing as Paxil without the side effects of adding on the extra pounds. Does anyone know if this is true (I gained 15 pounds on Paxil and am dying to lose it) and if so how long does it take for the metabolism to get back to its old self?
