I have a history of panic disorder and major depression. I'm taking 25mg of paxil xr, only works a little. I've recently started on .5 klonopin twice a day, which works much better for the horrible anxiety.
Now I've been prescribed Depakote for chronic migraines. I understand that it works on GABA as well. Is this going to be too much? Too tired? And will it cause more depression? Although my depression is usually an off set of the anxiety.Thank u so much for any info

> Thank u so much for any infoYou can take them all together, but I would be inclined to replace Paxil with another SSRI such as Zoloft or Lexapro if it's not working. Depakote is a popular anti-siezure drug with good mood stabilizing properties that is used by alot of bipolar people. Have you tried any other anti-migraine meds?
Cheers,
Panda.

I have actually tried amitriptyline for migraine (no avail), the topamax, made me slow, dumb. Zonegran, i had an allergic reaction to. So now it's onto Depakote. The anti-seizures seem to work much better for the migraines, and somehow, makes my sleep normal again.
As far as SSRIS, paxil seems to be the only one that works (but only minimal). I began on it 7 yrs ago, and was panic free for a couple years and felt awesome and my self, but had a major break through attack, or poop out 2.5 yrs ago. No luck with lexapro or effexor, and zoloft, i probably didn't give it long enough try. Thanks for your help
