2 years ago I was put on Aropax, at first the drug was okay then after a few weeks my heart would race constantly and hard, i couldn't sleep well and a coffee made me shake like a leaf. My GP put me on this after months of strange feelings and crying for no reason, within 6mths i was having panic attacks constantly and felt like i was going crazy. A referral to a Phychriatrist and she took me off them immediately, within 12hours my head would convulse, within 24hrs i was throwing up and couldn't see very well. I went to the P all shaken, anxious and crying, she put me on diazepam to settle me down to get through this withdrawal period(i recommend it) the 3 mths following i felt really incoherant to the world. Then i was told that i didn't have a choice but to go on med's again inconjunction with therapy and yoga. I've been on effexor xr for the last year it has helped me tremendously the side effects that are most predominant are more sweating than usual and headaches this drug is a SNRI VS SSRI. I have had 2 panic attacks in the last 6mths which is pretty good. The problem with these drugs is that i feel that i was better off before i'd had any drugs
