Hi,
I recently started Concerta(methylphenadate) @ 18mgs. It put me to sleep. I was worried that there was something wrong with me since a stimuant made me so sleepy. My pdoc simply stated; Its like your mind can finally focus and isnt all over the place, thinking about many things at once. & That people with or with out ADD react differently to stimulants.
We uped my dose to 27mgs and Im Im not so drowsy.
Best Wishes,
Cindy
Im so calm, were reducing my Klonopin and Gabatril. Who would of known?? Im also taking my Lexapro at night Just in case that that is contributing to my Ritalin sleepiness.

Ive been on Adderall XR for a while (since like last october) and it always wakes me up in the mornings when I take it and I get a lot of energy from it. My friend took 2 of my 25mg pills one day and 30 min. after she took them she fell asleep... its weird... I guess its just how different people respond to it?

It also depends on what you have in your stomach when you take it. If you eat a big meal too soon after you take it or before you take it, it might not kick in or it will be delayed a couple hours.
orange juice and pop also lower your absorption.
Just an fyi...:)
