Hi there.
I've been on remeron for 6 months and had no weight gain until now. I was wondering, a) if weight gain can occur 6 months after starting? and b) does it come off easily after discontinuing remeron??? Thanks.

I thought the same thing. All of my Remeron weight gain started 6 months after I started it too. I thought it was a different med causing it. I gained almost 40 pounds. I went off Remeron a few months ago and all of the weight is coming off, without any diet change or exercise. Weight I wasn't able to get rid of at all while ON the Remeron no matter how hard I tried.

Really?
6 months afterward??? Did you notice 6 months later that your appetite increased, or that the weight just came on for no good reason at all? how long did it take you to gain 40 lbs?? I am SO HAPPY to hear that teh weight is coming off after discontinuing it.. however, i am supposed to be on it for another 9 months!
