My social anxiety has been pretty contained since starting Nardil. Lately I have been getting some spurts of anxiety coming back. The only thing I think it would be is that I have been drinking a lot of caffeine...... does anyone think this could be the cause?
thanks

Yes yes yes!!
Why on earth do you drink caffien if you have/had Social Phobia? It most certainly increases social anxiety.
At first it may well give you that quick burst of confidence, energy and chattiness (due to it's strong dopamine increasing effect), but keep drinking it and before long that will turn into nothing but brain fog and overstimulation - anxiety. Belive me, I've been there.
Of course the Nardil will work to keep most of the anxiety at bay but Social Phobia simply doesn't mix with stimulants (with the exception of some carefully prescribed psychostims).
It makes me wonder how many people with anxiety and other mental ilness don't even consider how caffiene, AND NICOTINE, can effect mood and anxiety.
Please try quiting the caffiene. I think you'll be suprised with the results.

Thanks I am trying to stop slowly - your right I look for that extra jolt of energy it gives you. Unfortunately I also smoke a lot too. One kind of goes with the other (for me atleast). I am guessing both of the nicotine and caffeine combined it brining back my anxiety..........thanks
