What are the best meds for anxiety and depression? Currently on Valium 20mg, Lexapro 20 mg, Remeron 45mg, Risperdal 8mg. Still not working on these. Tried Serzone, Paxil, Celexa, Effexor, and Zyprexa.

Rock, you've asked a normal but broad categorical question. But what is or are your primary diagnose(s). ie: unipolar, bi-polar etc.

Hi
It depend on your diagnosis and chemistry but personally i found Paxil at 20mg to be the best-especially for anxiety. Higher doses made me aggitated. clonazepam is the best SOS drug for anxiety 4 me. Also I have found that lamotrigine has helped with both anxiety and depression.
good luck

Maybe you should increase the Lexapro and decrease the Remeron? But that's just a wild guess. I don't really know.
I personally take 30 mg Lexapro along with Strattera. Lexapro by itself eliminated my once severe depression. It also significantly reduced my anxiety. But I still had some anxiety and ADD symptoms. That's why I added Strattera 3 weeks a go. So far, the Strattera has helped with both anxiety and attention.
