This past week my psychiatrist put me on Gabitril for GAD, and upped my Zyprexa from 2.5 to 5 mg. Since then, I've been napping constantly and feel like I want to jump out of my skin...I don't know how else to describe it. My head feels like it's gonna implode...anyone experience similar side-effects any of the above? I'm hoping it passes.

I experienced an uncomfortable anxiety when Gabitril was added. It did not disappear over time.Lamictal 300mg
imipramine 300mg
Abilify 10mg
Gabitril

gabatril made me feel weird in general. felt like my head was detached from my body. that did make me a bit anxious. but i did get used to it after a while.

I'll give it some more time before I throw in the towel...I feel better now, after 2 mg of Ativan. I can't rely on benzos for everything, though...that's why I was put on Gabitril.

The zyprexa will make you nap. The other two SE most likely won't be from the zyprexa. I've never tried Gabitril.

gabitril was useless for me- very sedating but not helpful for either mood stabilization or panic attacks http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12479659&dopt=Abstract
how come you can't rely on benzos if they work?
take care, judy
