What dose do you use? What is the minimal dose that could be effective as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor (50mg?)

There really is no antidepressant that will act as a substitute for amineptine. Ritalin is a potent DA reuptake inhibitor. So is cocaine. Neither makes for a good antidepressant. You could take a look at sibutramine or mazindol. I have been interested in these drugs for a long time, but never found the right time to try them. Although development is currently suspended due to financial considerations, r-sibutramine, one of the two isomers (sort of like what Lexapro is to Celexa), is being considered as a new antidepressant. I have sibutramine on my short list of things to try next.MAOIs might be worth a look at if you are trying to potentiate the actions of dopamine.
