I'm in my eighth week of taking Lexapro and have begun to have more and more problems with my hands and lower arms going numb. Also I've noticed that my hands tend to be swollen when I first get up. I know other people have experienced this with Lexapro, but has anyone had it go away?
I must say, this is the first antidepressant I've been on where new side effects have appeared after the initial break-in period. It's also so far not been the most effective AD I've ever tried. I'm taking 10mg/d and would like to go to 20mg/d, but it makes me too tired. Even at the lower dose I get tired, but I can deal with it - with effort. At the higher dose I can't manage at all.

I haven't tried Lexapro but have taken a couple of other SSRIs and experienced nothing like that. I must say it sounds like a rather unacceptable and potentially serious side effect to me. If I were in your place, I think I'd look for something else.
