Does anyone know if Tianeptine (Stablon ) has been approved in the US? Do you know of a website where one might monitor its progress through the pharmaceutical pipeline?

Last I checked (a week ago) tianeptine is nowhere to be found down the product pipeline. (Pssst, don't tell anyone, but the FDA is a bit on the stone age side when it comes to approving meds that aren't American-made.)
Though I'm not permitted to post it here, there is a place that I have ordered Stablon from (overseas of course) at $15 for 30 x 12.5mg tablets. It's easy to get ahold of if you look around for it, and it's non-controlled.

What did you think of Tianeptine ?
Was it mood brightening like the SSRI's. Was it helpful for anxiety ??
I am so confused, as to how a drug that is pharmocologically opposite to the SSRI's can be an effective antidepressant.
Tell me your whole experience with the drug,
spare no details.

All the places I look seem to have it for $35 - $45 for 30 tabs. Could you give any hints?
Also, please tell of your experience with it.
