Do all anti-depressants make you sluggish?? I have tried Seroxat, Effexor, Lustral, Prozac and all seem to make me drowsy and sluggish. All I want to do while I'm on them is sleep. I have also hardly any interest in things.
Any one else found this?? Are there any Anti-Depressants out that that DON'T make you feel so apathetic, lethargic and sluggish??

I have the same exact problem, I sleep too much and eat too much, I yawn all day and get tired often. I have turned to soda and coffe because of this

I've had real problems with the sedating effects of most SSRIs and TCAs, but not with Wellbutrin (NDRI). So it's great to that extent, but I have yet to see a therapeutic effect regarding depression after several weeks of increasing dosage.

If you want to go the MAOI route, Parnate is probably the most activating AD there is. It made me very, very, un-sluggish!

It is certainly a problem. So far, I fight the tiredness with daily exercise, caffeine, and trying to get enough sleep. I have been on American ginseng for 3 weeks which also helps (it is also lessening the sexual side effects).
But I still think that I need more of an energy boost and I have ADD synptoms as well. I may ask the doc for Provigil, Ritalin, or Adderal since they can all increase energy.

The only anti-depressant that gave me a lift (and still does ) is Wellbutrin. I am also on Lamictal that also seems to keep my engine revved up. I no longer need caffeine in the morning after my daily doses!
