Hello,
I need some advice. I am currently on Prozac, but am still feeling lethargic, very apathetic, sluggish, and drowsy.
I am sure I need something more activating but I don't know what to try. Apart from Parnate, what other anti-depressants are activating/stimulating?
I have heard that Wellbutrim is pretty good. Does it cause drowsiness?

Hi JMS600,
Wellbutrin has helped a great deal with my energy level. I would recommend giving it a try, if you don't like it you can stop taking it at any time without going through withdrawl.
So far Wellbutrin hasn't made me tired. Good luck.

By the way did Wellbutrin affect your sleep and appetite?

Hi Moreli,
I had a little bit of insomnia when I first started taking it. I've had a small decrease in my appetite and haven't been eating quite as much as I did in the past.

Hi Moreli,
I think it couldn't hurt to try. Just be sure to start at a very low dose. The side effects have been pretty minimal and it might help you to feel less tired. Let me know if you find something else that works. I have trouble with feeling tired all the time too.

I really liked wellbutrin. Felt energized, maybe too much, but thought that would wane.
Unfortuntly day 6 I had a allergic reaction.
I don't know what the half life is but I itched for 3 days.

You guys are saying to take Wellbutrin, but do you mean stop Prozac and then start Wellbutrin or take them together, in my case I am on Effexor 150mg
