Iv'e been on Paxil for 11 weeks and my doctor just move me up to 60 mgs i went down hill just before my period this time and the pdoc says some women do this she taking me from 40 to 60 but for one week she wants me to do 50 then go to 60mgs the next week any comments on this and has any other women experence this kind of thing. Please Help me

Hi Suebird -
I'm on 20mg Lexapro, have been for 3 1/2 months. I'm a 40 year old female. I still have bad moments within the 10 days before my period and so do many of the women on this Board . . . you are definitely not alone :-) I would've been fine at a lower dosage for the rest of the month, but need the 20mg to not totally melt down during those 10 days.I would try it and see if it helps. Gradually increasing from 50 then 60 is a good idea so s/e's won't bother you. Hormones wreak havoc, don't they?!?! I take extra vitamin B around that time and I think it helps!
