The Swinton House is an alternative living style for those who suffer from psychiatric/emotional conditions. Most of our residents have at one time lived on their own with some measure of success, but perhaps found themselves on a crisis unit and unable to return home. Not less common, not wanting to return home to family and friends that just didn't understand them or what they experience. We at Swinton House live as a small community. Divided among 3 houses, with on-site staff and in-house psychiatrist and medical doctors. Diminishing the need to go outside to mental health clinics and several doctors following our progress. If crisis intervention is necessary, we go to a private hospital to be seen by our doctors. We are rebuilding our lives, through in-house community meetings, outside interests including volunteer jobs, traveling together, socializing together, celebrating our successes together. We are about building lasting relationships, accountability to one another, and educating ourselves about our illnesses and how to manage them better with lifestyle changes. I AGREE!! It is true that some need help with living and existing !! But do NOT think that this is an appropriate place to advertise your "assisted living" services!! It is certainly NOT like there are a shortage of sick people out there!! I know you probably don't mean any harm, but it almsot sounds like you scanned in a copy of your 'brochure' and copied it into this website.
what does everyone else think???

sadly, i'm thinking of calling :( but i live in indiana... florida does sound lovely... i'd post a note to bob on admin and let him handle it from there. do you know how to do that? i don't feel like it, sorry folks, not trying to be lazy just feeling blue. thanks for the heads up though. if you don't post a note to bob on admin, i will in a few hours or so.
