what is wrong with me?

Posted by dondon on April 2, 2004, at 13:09:27

I suffer from the belief that I died before and I am now in a different place like hell. Everything that happened in the 1900's (ex. like ww1 and ww2, y2k bug) I picture these events as being in a different time than what I am in now. Like this is a copied world or hell and that world war 1 happened in a different time period than what I am living in right now.

Hi dondon,

What has your doctor prescribed you to take? You certainly sound like Abilify would be good for you :)

Cheers,
Panda.

Clearly you are diturbed enough by these thoughts to come to this board.

You are suffering illness psychotic in nature.
You need to speak to a doctor or psychiatrist who will be able to help you. Hopefully the right doctor can help bring you back to reality.

Best of Luck

Hi DonDon,

I am curious to what medications you have been prescribed to are as well. AD's, for example, are not sufficient to control bipolar mania or schizophrenia. You might need something like zyprexa, or abilify, or seroquel. I’ve had my fair share of days/weeks for I’ve felt like hell, and other times when I’ve felt that I’m in hell. Please post about your meds, and symptoms. You are in good company here.

Regards,
man-oh-man

Hi,
I hate to encourage any hallucinations for you if that is the case, but I found your post fanscinating.

I often wonder about these feelings. If it's a flash back from another life. This thing called time is so intangible and unreal really. When our consciousness hits a certain place, I think we transcend time. Sometimes, I think there is a fine line between (b/t) "hallucinations" and real clairvorant/transpersonal experiences.

HAve you ever consulted a real solid geniune reputable psychic?
I have and she answers those questions. i am in therapy, have a pdoc, and she is a great complement to the mix in helping sorting out what's what.
best wishes-
Katia
p.s. what is your "dx"?

I have Bipolar I and have had delusions as well. Mine were grandiose delusions though. Quite different than you explained. I thought I was a millionaire. You definitely need to see someone asap if you aren't already.

Hi again Jen,
Why the alarm about "you better see someone if you aren't already". I was just putting in some insights....btw, I am seeing someone (pdoc) and I thought what I said about a fine line b/t hallucinations and transpersonal experiences is very real. Sometimes, real insights/visions are not necessarily a "mental disorder inducement" and then they are treated as such and trully makes the person crazy then. I think I'm allowed to speculate without rushing off to the doctor for a check-up for my "delusional" thinking.
Katia
