I get chills; I had no idea it was a side effect! As far as the pee thing, that went away for me pretty quickly. I get it if I up my dose at all. I am female, but have a urethra also ;-)

Can anyone be more specific about the chills being described? I've been on Lexapro about six weeks now and I've begun experiencing a sensation something like chills but not quite. It's more like the feeling when you've been out in extreme cold and suddenly come into a warm room - kind of a thawing sensation. I could just as easily describe it as heat as cold, but it's not really either. There's a very slight prickling, not as intense as pins and needles but similar. Is this what other people are experiencing or is it a symptom of something else entirely? Thanks.

Do tell? I'm glad you were paying attention in your anatomy courses [supportive].
I'm taking a medication for TMJ and trigeminal neuralgia (sharp facial pain). I've noticed if I take a moderate dose before betime, I'll get a burning in my uretha in the morning (when I urinate, of course). It might be related to drying of the mucus membrane. I don't know, but if you ever run into a urologist in a social setting, this might be a great way to break the ice.
