You want to see a school counseler first, and then you might want to see a doctor.
I don't want to sound abrupt, but while antidpressants may be of help, you first need to see a counseller to talk about the pro's and con's and your alternatives. As we all know there may be other factors contributing to your depression. Vitamin Deficiancies ( esp if you are a vegitarian) can lead to depression.
In the case that you a are actively suicidal then go to an emergency room.
Most of us know here that antidepressants would be a terrible mistake if there was a less drastic solution available.

Do you have a regular doctor such as a pediatrician? Tell your mom that you don't feel good and you need to see the doctor.
If for some reason your mom won't let you see the doctor for depression, tell her that your stomach hurts. Then when you see the doctor, tell him or her that your stomach is better but you feel depressed.
Or, if that doesn't work, just call the doctor yourself and make an appointment. Or ask your school nurse to call your mom and let her know that you need to see a doctor for depression or for difficulty concentrating in class.
This is the end of the thread.
