Hi Bill.

No, I meant AP because I've tried so many ADs. I'm on the AP amisulpride at the moment; it is a lot better than nothing, but has some unpleasant side effects.

My pdoc told me some of his colleagues have been seeing some success with Geodon. He's not persuaded of its effectiveness, however. Plus he says it has some potential side effects he's concerned about. Unfortunately I'm not sure what those are. Still, you might look into it.

Sulpiride or Amisulpride.
Also I'd say Zyprexa is pretty good AP for depression.

yeah i think zyprexa is good for depression and anxiety and obsessive thoughts etc etc .. basically everything ...

abilify is really good for depression... but not so much for anxiety i don't think (may worsen it? i don't know)
p.s. - really good, but still doesn't compare to something like parnate

After LOTS of combinations, Depakote and Abilify have been the best. I've been on the Depakote for 2 1/2 years with lots of other SSRIs. They all made me nuts after a few weeks. Abilify is hanging in there. I take a small dose - 5 mg. 10 mg was too much.

Thanks, Treb

Hi Cyber,

What doses would I be looking at for Zyprexa or Abilify - full dose like for schizophrenia? I'm hoping to get away with a relatively low dose so that side effects are minimised. (BTW what side effects could I expect?)

Thanks

Nohope
