I've been on Effexor for 2 weeks now and wonder about the side effects of weight gain. Anyone on this medication and if so, how are you doing? Any weight gain? Weight loss? What other side effects are you having? Thanks....I appreciate all the info anyone can offer!!

I have really packed on the poundage since being put on effexor xr. The weight has stopped going up but shows no signs of wanting to leave. I tried to diet but had no loss at all.
I put on 12 lbs that I can attribute to this medication. Fortunately, it is working very well for me after about 9 weeks of uncomfortable side effects. I consider the weight gain a small price to pay.

I have been on Effexor XR for a month and have lost weight on it, so far 5 pounds.. Good luck on your meds!!
