I personally know of one person who took Wellbutrin SR 200mg. once a day and praises God for this medication. Along with a tiny dosage of Klonopin along with the Wellbutrin she was panic and depression free for years. Surely, she isn't the only one :)
Are there any others who have had any success at this site?
I think this is day 6 or 7 on 200mg. of the SR, once a day, an I see some rays of sunshine through the clouds, but I need to some encouragement. My diagnosis is anxiety disorder/panic disorder which triggered my depression. This all started back in 2002 with an adverse reaction to a medication.
Any words of encouragement or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi there,
Hopefully I have some words of encouragement about Wellbutrin SR. Back in November 2003 I started taking the XL version of Wellbutrin and was doing pretty good on just 150 mg daily but was still not out of the depressed stage. My regular PCP told me to tirate up to 300 mg.
Well, big mistake for me. Within 3 days I was a raving lunatic, I was irritable beyond belief and if I had a gun I probably would have used it on a number of people because of the way that medication was making me feel.
My therapist told me to go back down to the 150 mg immediately until I could get in with a psych doc.
Finally, a month ago my appt w/ the psych doc came and I told her I was on the XL version, alone....no other AD as an augmenter. She said she preferred the SR version only because it seemed to "lessen" the negative effects sometimes associated with the XL version in SOME people.
Apparently I was one of those people.I am doing very well on 200 mg of Wellbutrin SR daily (taken in a.m.) and 75 mg of Zoloft (also taken in a.m.). I also take 2 mg of Klonopin @ night to help with the nasty anxiety I begin to experience at bedtime.
But all in all, I feel pretty good on the combo I am taking right now. I still have some dark days but I have more energy and feel better than I did. I have a one month follow up this week so we'll see if the doc wants to leave me as is or increase or decrease any.
~Just thought I'd give you my personal comments & how it's working for me~
God Bless ;-)

Thank you. It's good to hear that you are doing much better on the SR. Although this is only day 6 or 7 I am beginning to feel like my old self. It's quite encouraging an I hope that I'll experience the full effect soon.
God Bless
