ive been on paxil for a little over 6 weeks this friday i will start my 7th week and i hope i continue to improve, it took almost 6 weeks to start feeling i was getting alittle bit better and my pdoc said it can take up to eight weeks, befor u feel the total benifits of the meds i dont understand why the makers of paxil dont come out in say that, this is my second time on paxil and the first time took just as long, ive been very nervous thinking the paxil isnt going to work as good as it did the first time but the pdoc told me it would, is there anyone out there that has went off of the med and in a couple of months had to go back on and had go results? want upbuilding thoughts please. thank u suebird

Well, the good news is your probably not Bipolar. When I take paxil for the first time after a break from it I get euphoria. If that stuff worked like it initialy works for me when I start taking it I wouldn't need lithium. But after about 3 days the good feeling is gone and I'm in a really bad depression. But what I feel from it is not the paxil working but the hypomania it causes me. It should work again for you just like it did if you have been off of it for a long time.
