I am currently treating my Social Anxiety with Zoloft, combined with Benzo's for breakthrough anxiety.
(1) Might pregabalin replace the need for both of those? (I'm not diggin the s/e's of SSRI's)
(2) When is it supposed to be available?
(3) If I didn't seem to respond to Nuerontin, does this mean that Pregabalin will necessarily fail?
Thank you!!

mark my words right here, right now. pregabalin will help cure depression, fibromyglia/CFS, social phobia, anxiety and seizures. it is a diff chemical structure than neurontin, therefore will work better by far.

PS>
it was submitted for FDA approval in oct 2003. expect it to be approved OCT 2004 and released within months after. so early 2005.

What changed about PREGABALIN formulation or information regarding clinical trials and research that caused this med to be reexamined after the first studies were halted due to findings of weird tumor growth found in the lab mice?
I'm not trying to be an alarmist or the devil's advocate, it just seems you know alot about this med and I can't find information on what cause the wheels to turn once more on this drug. I would be interested in what you know about this.
Thanks

In reply to jlbl2l... May I ask a question?, posted by NotAddicted on February 28, 2004, at 19:59:14
the tumor indication was found in mice with high exposure. in humans, it has found to be very negligible (safe for humans) in standard doing. different specices often have different side effects. pregabalin is approx as toxic a neurontin (which is very non toxic)
