Is anyone taking only 75mg. of Wellbutrin?
I'm lowering my dosage to see if this spacey feeling will disappear. I'm taking Wellbutrin for panic disorder and I haven't had a panic attack in about a year, but this spacey feeling has remained since my first panic attack in 2002, although the Wellbutrin has helped decrease it's intensity.
Hopefully, the lower dosage will totally eliminate that feeling...if not any suggestions? I can't take Celexa, Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, or Remeron. They all aggravated my anxiety symptoms and made me feel more spacey.
Thanks!

Hi:
You didn't say what dosage of W.B. you were on, before lowering down to 75 mg. Also, too quickly lowering down W.B. might NOT be a good idea due to 'withdrawl effect' you may experience. In that regard, did you speak to your pdoc. before cutting back W.B.?Also, milder AP, such as Seroquel might be good for alternative med. since you said that you're NOT able to take several meds. that sounds like good effect on the condition like yours.
Just suggestion from my personal understanding.

I dropped from 300mg. of the XL to 150mg. without any withdrawal symptoms. That was a month ago...now I've decreased to 75mg. of the SR. This is my second day. Switching to the SR I notice bodyaches after taking.

Hi Edgefield:
Body ache might be related to 'muscle' problem caused by WB. In my knowledge, WB sr has 'Muscular ache,' even I experienced Jaw-popping out when I increased from 200 mg. to 300 mg. WB sr.
I never had on WB XL, then I am not able to compare with WB sr, ... but according to my pdoc., WB XL is 'smoother effect,' ... so to speak 'NO spike' after taking this med.
Also, in my WB regimen, I started on 100 mg. WB sr, ... so 75 mg. WB sr sounds to me like a way 'too small dosage.' However, in my guess, ... probably your muscle ache after 75 mg. WB sr is your system gets so accustomed to WB XL, then its adjustment from XL to SR causing 'muscle pain' in your case.

Interesting that WB decreases anxiety and Paxil increases it. Typically this is the opposite of what they are known for.
I'm thinking about either WB or Paxil as an add-on to Trileptal for the depression and anxiety I'm going through. I was thinking Paxil might be the best for that. But you are saying Wellbutrin? I thought WB was a very activating AD?

This is just one of those prime examples as to how different we all are especially when it comes to medications. Wellbutrin makes me sleepy even though I've always heard about it being activating. I've met on this site a few people like myself, very few, who also became sleepy. Like all of these meds. the only way to find out is to try them. I wish you the best.
