Hi, I am new to anti-depressants. For the past two weeks I was on Wellbutrin XL and could not sleep at all. So, my doctor switched me to Celexa. I have taken two doses so far of 10 mg. The first dose was fine, but after the second my throat felt swollen and it is difficult to swallow. I took it at night, and 12 hours later I still have the symptoms. I am supposed to increase to 20 mg tonight, but am a bit afraid to. Has anyone had such a side effect and has it gone away?

Call your doctor right away and tell him/her about this. Some people do have allergic reactions to certain meds.
