I do know for sure that people take it for years with no problems. I don't know what the average dose is.

Hi I am on my second YEAR of it and am often at 10 mg at bed to less but have been known to pop it up to 20-30mg a night THAT IS NOT SMART at all so don't do that. Do as I say not as I do :) You may wanna do something I did NOT do which is skip a lot of days so you arent dependent on it mentally or physically. Good luck and don't max over 10 mg

I hve used ambien for 6 months or more. I have handled tolerance by going without it for a night or two. On those nights I use something else. It has worked well. I am still at 1 pill or 10 mg

Hi , I´ve been taking only 5mg per nigth .
It really makes me go to the bed very fast , thing that none of the benzodeazepines do.Althougth my dream lasts only 3 or 4 hours(they are very good).
Should I increase my dose to 10mg so I can sleep more time ??thankyou for your answers
