Adderall and wellbutrin

Posted by dazed on January 21, 2004, at 12:42:35

I started on straterra for inattentive ADD. Didn't work. Switched to Adderall, still nothing. Last time, the pdoc added wellbutrin. I'm a little more perky/happy, but still so unfocused at work.

Should I switch to Ritalin and see if that makes a difference? I'm scared my pdoc will think i'm not trying, or that i want a quick fix to all my problems, without making lifestyle changes.

I've made dramatic lifestyle changes in January, so I do have a little more motivation. However, I'm overwhelmed much of the time, because I can't set priorities and I start one thing, and switch to something else before finishing the first thing. I can do that with 5 or 6 tasks and never get anything off my desk.

Any suggestions?

I haven't tried those specific ADD drugs, but Effexor and Wellbutrin together seem to help me think straight and not feel so overwhelmed. I take 75 of Effexor and 200 WB in the AM right now. Just posted about WB Sr vs WB - I think the WB regular wears off because I am getitng that "ugh - leave it till later" feeling in the evenings that I didn't get w/ WB SR.

I think that you should ask your doc about Ritalin.
